Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) funds up to 10 awards for PhD students working on a dissertation related to foreign or 2nd language assessment.

Educational Testing Services (ETS) administers and develops TOEFL, along with other tests such as the GRE. They are innovators when it comes to testing and research assessment. Award winners will be notified in December (if they applied by the October deadline) or April (if they applied by the February deadline).

Award: A stipend of up to $2,000 per year.

Citizenship: No citizenship requirements.

Deadline: 10/15/2016 and 02/15/2017
