The American Geophysical Union (AGU) awards 3 research grants for 1 year to foster graduate student research in hydrology and water resources. The grant will support research that will lead to the student’s completion of doctoral dissertation. Awardees will explore how important the proposed activity is to advancing knowledge and understanding within its own field or across different fields. Later in the duration of the award, students awarded the grant will be required to write a short progress report about the scientific transformation of their project.

There are no citizenship requirements.

Award: A one-year grant (typically $10,000) to cover research costs and related travel expenses ($500 U.S./$1,000 international).

Deadline: Proposals and supporting letters must be received no later than 15 April 2016 (11:59 PM Eastern Time/3:59 AM GMT on Thursday).
